Gallagher Bassett is increasing its presence in the London market with the acquisition of Adjusting Associates.

Established in 2002, Wales-based Adjusting Associates provides loss adjusting and claims management services to London market clients, predominantly managing domestic, commercial, liability and business interruption claims.

Adjusting Associates primarily serves businesses in the UK, as well as in Ireland, France, Portugal, Italy and Spain.

Stephen Sheppard, Andrew Swan and their associates will continue to operate from their current location, reporting to Simon Pemberton, chief executive officer of Gallagher Bassett’s UK operations.

Pemberton (pictured) said: “This is an exciting acquisition for Gallagher Bassett, further developing our services for current and future clients. It presents a fantastic opportunity for us to expand our presence in the London market.”

“We are delighted to welcome Stephen, Andrew and the team into Gallagher Bassett’s growing global team.”

Sheppard and Swan, partners at Adjusting Associates, said: “Adjusting Associates joining Gallagher Bassett provides an excellent opportunity to continue and enhance its ongoing expansion in the current UK market. All the staff at Adjusting Associates LLP are very excited and optimistic to be joining the Gallagher Bassett team.”

The third-party administrator acquired Property Claims Management Services (PCMS) late last year.

Staffordshire-based PCMS provides property claims management services to insurers and commercial third-party claims administrators through a dedicated fulfilment team.
