Andrew Axon

Andrew Axon is a prominent clinical negligence and catastrophic injury barrister at Parklane Plowden Chambers (Leeds/Newcastle). With both a regional and national reputation for his work, he is described by legal commentators as “an amazing advocate, who exudes confidence and knows the law inside out.”
Andrew is a former Head of Chambers, having been elected in 2012 and he led the set through an ambitious re-structure in 2015. He oversaw the creation of a new Service Company and Executive Management Board for Chambers; whose purpose it is to further strengthen Chambers position by delivering a modern, responsive and efficient service to both a regional and national client base.
Educated at the Grammar School in Leeds, and Cambridge University, Andrew has been an integral part of the Yorkshire legal community since joining chambers in 1992. He is past President of the West Yorkshire Medico-legal Society and has a special interest in Gastroenterology, lecturing at the International Symposium on Complications in GI Endoscopy, Hannover 2015.
He is routinely instructed in multi-million pound cases on behalf of both claimants and defendants. As a frequent contributor to practitioner guides and industry publications, Andrew is highly regarded as an expert in his field.
