Joe Pendle

Joe joined ISO www.uk.iso.com  (a member of the Verisk Analytics Family of Companies www.verisk.com)  in early 2004.  Joe has led the Claims Outcome Advisor (COA) UK division and has overseen significant growth by helping companies reduce their overall costs and help them manage their portfolio of personal injury claims through technology and data analysis.

Joe has helped ISO significantly increase its market share, so that COA is now the most-used quantum evaluation tool in the UK and has raised the profile of the organisation and the brand in the sector.  Under Joe’s leadership the company has established a reputation for delivering and meeting commitments to customers, leading to the team winning the Insurance Times Service Provider of the Year Award in 2011.

Joe has pioneered the use of technology to reduce frictional costs between adversarial parties through the establishment of the award winning Personal Injury Claims Automated Settlement (PICAS Plus) process.

Joe regularly contributes articles and commentary to many industry publications and journals such as Post, Insurance Times, Strategic Risk, Insurance Age, MASS Magazine, Claims Magazine and the Journal of Personal Injury Law.  Joe was invited to sit on Lord Justice Jackson’s working party on the use of Quantum Assessment Tools in personal injury claims.

Joe has been a regular judge for industry awards including 3 years as a judge for the Personal Injury Awards and the Chairman of the inaugural Claims Technology Awards.  Prior to joining  ISO Joe had over 23 years working for insurance organisations including MIB, Endsleigh Insurance, City of Westminster  Insurance, AGF, Sentry, Shead Motor Policies, Allstate and the Federated Insurance Company.

Joe takes an active interest in sport particularly football being an FA qualified coach and an enthusiastic supporter of Manchester United.  Joe is married with 3 children.
