Michael Stubbs has 30 years as a barristers clerk working in Manchester, Leeds & Newcastle. After relocating to the North East in 2003, he briefly worked as business development manager in a medico legal firm before joining Plowden Chambers as senior clerk in 2005. Following the successful merger, with Parklane, Leeds in 2007 where he was one of driving forces behind the link. He became Joint Senior Clerk to Parklane Plowden. Following a Chambers restructure in March 2015 he was handed the role as Practice Director of Chambers, within this position he sits on the management board and advises and assists the strategy of Chambers.
He is committed to meeting clients’ needs, focusing on exploring new ways Chambers can work with clients to deliver a service that evolves with the changing legal landscape. He strives on being responsive to the market, and working with clients to provide pragmatic solutions to the engagement of barristers and fee structures. He overseas the marketing and development of Parklane Plowden Chambers.
