Underwoods Solicitors has announced the promotion of solicitor Leah Waller to partner.
Waller, who did her training with the firm, joins Kerry Underwood and Robert Males at partner level.
The firm’s senior partner, Underwood, said that it was obvious that Waller had the potential to become a top lawyer from “the day she joined”.
“I am delighted that she is now realizing that potential and she is a huge asset to this firm and to the legal profession,” he said. “A strong and independent legal profession is crucial to the country’s wellbeing.”
Mike Penning the MP for Hemel Hempstead (pictured above, with Waller), who has worked with Waller, also welcomed the appointment.
“Leah is a very talented young lawyer and works with me on a number of local matters, including the great charity work that The Snow Sports Foundation does at the Snow Centre, and also in relation to sinkholes.”
Waller said that she was very grateful to be offered the opportunity to progress in her legal career within the firm that she had trained in.
“I enjoy working with the community and am keen to continue to do so in my role as partner in a law firm so well established in the legal profession,” she said.
