CEGA special investigations appointed sole provider of claims validation services for Personal Group

CEGA Special Investigations has been appointed as the sole supplier of claims validation services for Personal Group’s inpatient benefit claims.

The move sees Personal Group, a leading provider of employee benefits and employee related insurance products in the UK, consolidating its existing relationship with CEGA.

“The appointment will enhance Personal Group’s existing inpatient benefit customer offering; ensuring that genuine claimants are protected and that robust processes are in place to deter and detect any disingenuous claims,” said Simon Cook, CEGA’s head of technical claims.

“By streamlining our validation services with Personal Group’s own claims handling operation we are able to give customers a seamless claims journey in keeping with our client’s celebrated customer-centric approach.”

CEGA will support Personal Group with both desktop and overseas investigations, thanks to its network of global agents. It will also draw on its in-house multilingual travel and medical expertise.

“Our work for Personal Group has already had a significant impact; providing, among other measures, niche medical education to enable front-end claims handlers to better identify suspicious claims,” adds Cook. “We are delighted to be able to build on our success with this industry-leading provider.”

Mark Scanlon, CEO of personal group, said: “Serving our customers has always been our priority and the relationship with CEGA allows us to deliver an enhanced service, processing genuine claims faster and providing customers with a swifter and more seamless experience.”
