BIBA says its new app can reduce commercial motor and fleet average claims reporting times by 90%


The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has launched a smartphone app facility that can reduce the average commercial motor and fleet claims reporting time of 23 days by up to 90%.

The app, called Claims Made Easy, has been developed with Insure Apps and is available to BIBA members at discounted rates.

By speeding up, standardising and streamlining the claims process, BIBA says the app can help brokers to tackle late and inaccurate reporting of commercial motor and fleet claims. It allows the recording of key information such as GPS, police, witness, and third party details, along with photographs and additional information. A claim can be reported in less than 10 minutes and is instantly submitted to the driver’s head office and their insurance broker.

The app could also significantly reduce claims costs and is available to BIBA members at discounted rates. In addition, brokers can customise the app with their own branding.
