Originally from Dublin, Donna moved to the UK in 1985. Having worked for various law firms in London she joined Carpenters in 1997, where she set up a specialist Personal Injury department.
Carpenters are a leading provider of claims services to the insurance industry, and have built a reputation for an ethical approach to personal injury claims with a strong team of experienced lawyers, employing over 450 people.
A passionate campaigner for the rights of accident victims, Donna joined the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS) management committee in 2004, where her experience, enthusiasm and commitment led to her being elected Chairman of MASS in 2010 for a 2 year term. During this time she led MASS’s campaign against the government’s patchwork of recent reforms to the civil justice funding system that threatened access to justice for victims.
As a member of the Insurance Times Fraud Charter Advisory Board in 2012 and 2013, Donna has worked hard to fight fraud within the motor insurance sector and pioneered initiatives like the MASS ‘Fraud Forum’ where she actively rallies support from all parties involved in the claims process to collaboratively weed-out bad practice and present a united front against fraud.
Donna has twin boys aged 13 so spends a lot of time watching them play sport and she tries to keep fit in any free time she has!
