Simon Readhead QC

Simon Readhead Q.C. has a wide ranging practice for both claimants and defendants in medico-legal law including all aspects of clinical liability, professional liability and indemnity claims involving clinical liability and personal injury, personal injury claims including industrial accidents and occupational diseases, health and safety claims and product liability. He has a special interest and expertise in catastrophic injury claims including birth trauma, other neurological injuries particularly involving the head and spine and high value and complex quantum claims. He collaborates on piCalculator a cloud based, encrypted damages calculation tool.
Simon is recognised as a leading Queen’s Counsel in the current editions of both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories and he was shortlisted for Queen’s Counsel of the Year in the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury category at the Legal 500 Awards 2017. Simon is a Master of the Bench of the Middle Temple, a member of the Council of the Medicolegal Society and is currently the Head of Chambers at 1 Chancery Lane.
Simon is regularly asked to speak at conferences and seminars in the UK and abroad most recently in Hong Kong. He is also familiar with the grittier side of life having in the past worked both as mortuary technician and, for several years, as a legal adviser to The Sun newspaper.
