Stephen is a partner and head of the claimant division at Hugh James Solicitors. He is a clinical negligence specialist and chairman of Society of Clinical Injury Lawyers (SCIL), which is an organisation that represents more than 100 specialist clinical negligence law firms throughout the UK. Stephen is a longstanding member of the Action against Medical Accidents and Law Society clinical negligence panels and is a fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Stephen has dealt with a number of high-profile cases, including Ceri Ann Walters v North Glamorgan NHS Trust, and acting for the families affected by the E-Coli outbreak in South Wales in September 2005. Stephen has recovered tens of millions of pounds of compensation for clients suffering from serious injuries following clinical negligence. He specialises in cerebral palsy and spinal cord injury.
